Concetta Caristo is a comedian, radio and television presenter best known as co-host of triple j breakfast with Concetta and Luka.
Starting breakfast radio in 2023, Concetta has hit the ground running. She presented the Breakthrough Artist Award at The ARIA Awards, announced the winner of the The Hottest 100 and her joyous interviews with Margot Robbie, Zendaya, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd and Lil Nas X have amassed millions of views. To top it all off, a song she wrote when she was 11, titled appropriately enough, ‘The Song I Wrote When I Was 11’ evolved into a viral music video starring G Flip and Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers.
A fresh face on Australian TV screens, Concetta was selected to co-host the ABC’s 2023 New Year’s Eve coverage with Charlie Pickering and Zan Rowe. A broadcast that reached 3.4 million viewers and was nominated for a Logie. She also has a regular segment on The Weekly (ABC TV), will appear in Taskmaster Australia Season 3 (Network 10) alongside Aaron Chen, Peter Helliar, Mel Buttle and Rhys Nicholson, and can be seen on Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont Spelling Bee (ABC TV), The Cheap Seats (Network 10), Celebrity Letters & Numbers (SBS), Would I Lie To You? (Network 10), Question Everything (ABC TV), Australia: Now & Then (Channel 7) and Planet America (ABC TV).
Concetta’s stand up comedy has earned her a Moosehead Award (MICF 2023), Semi-Finalist in the 2022 Funny Women Awards and appearances on Comedy Up Late and Break Out Comedy. She has performed at the Sydney Opera House, The Enmore Theatre and The Comedy Store, as well as supported acts including Atsuko Okatsuka, Becky Lucas, and Aaron Chen. In 2024 she hosted the prestigious Raw Comedy National Grand Final at Melbourne’s Town Hall, broadcast on SBS.
As an improviser, she won the Improv Theatre Sydney Smackdown competition in 2018 and is a two-time grand finalist of the Sydney comedy institution, the Theatresports Cranston Cup.
Concetta is also the co-creator and co-host of the popular podcasts, Big Natural Talents and The Quibble Hour, where she explores the comedy of her personal life, the personal lives of celebs, and the art of taking everything personally.
